A First Response to Resiliency

The First Responders Technology Park project represents an innovative and forward-thinking effort by lawmakers to consolidate and relocate First Responder training and response facilities out of inundation zones in a joint-use campus. Students engaged city and state stakeholders including Honolulu Police Department, Honolulu Fire Department, Hawaiʻi National Guard, Youth Challenge Academy, Office of Enterprise Technology Systems, Department of Accounting and General Services, Emergency Medical System, Department of Public Safety, Sheriff and Hawaiʻi Technology Development Corporation in programming and master planning workshops to produce a proof of concept design for the overall planning and placemaking objectives for the site.
