Ariel Dungca

BS in landscape architecture, University of Massachusetts Amherst

Ariel is a licensed landscape architect with over a decade of experience in practice, currently a Research Associate in the Community Design Center and a lecturer in the School of Architecture at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. With prior tenure at firms in the East Coast and most recently at PWP Landscape Architecture in Northern California, he has continued to build on his expertise and experience in thoughtfully designing and building a diverse range of project types with a focus on crafting places that are culturally, ecologically, and materially contextualized. A number of his recent build projects have been recognized by the American Society of Landscape Architects. Ariel was a regular visiting critic and lecturer on professional practice at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a studio instructor at Boston Architectural College and had active involvement and leadership in various firm initiatives with a focus on teaching and training interns and new employees.
