How can the Queen Liliʻuokalani Statue be revitalized while keeping its original meaning?

This project looks at Queen Liliʻuokalani Statue behind the Hawaiʻi State Capitol in order to help determine whether to relocate the statue or to revitalize it in the statue’s current setting. There are two preselected sites in the Historic District that were studied in this project. Each site and scheme aims to connect the statue and its surroundings to the qualities and characteristics of Queen Liliʻuokalani.
